What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we only receive what you type into a form, and we do not track you.

Effective September 16, 2026

Who we are

Boulder Insight ("we", "us") is an AI, automation, and analytics consultancy based in Colorado. This policy explains what we collect when you use boulderinsight.com and its subdomains (the "site"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers the website only. Work we do for clients is governed by the agreement for that engagement and by our Responsible AI policy.

If you have a question about anything here, email info@boulderinsight.com.

What we collect, and why

We collect personal information only when you give it to us through a form.

Contact form. When you send a message through the contact page or the walkthrough form on our demo portal, we receive your name, email address, the message you wrote, and, if you provide them, your company and the topic you chose. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. It is delivered to our team by email and by a message in our internal Slack workspace.

Newsletter. When you sign up for the newsletter we receive your first and last name, your email address, your company if you provide it, and the topics you tick. We use it to send you the emails you asked for and to keep them relevant to the topics you chose. There is no confirmation step: you are on the list as soon as the form succeeds, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. If you previously unsubscribed and fill in the form again, you stay unsubscribed. Only you can change that, from the link in one of our emails.

Technical information. Like every website, ours receives your IP address and standard browser details with each request. We use the IP address, in memory and for no more than a minute, to limit how many times a form can be submitted, and our hosting provider keeps routine server logs for security and troubleshooting. We do not use this information to identify or profile you.

We do not buy, sell, or rent personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

What we do not do

  • No analytics or advertising trackers. The site contains no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, and no social media widgets.
  • No third-party cookies. The only cookie the site sets is a login session for our own staff on the admin area. Visitors never receive it.
  • No cross-site tracking. Fonts and images are served from our own site, not from a third-party font or image service.

The site uses your browser's local storage for one thing: remembering that you closed the newsletter banner so it does not reappear. That value never leaves your browser.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and to reach you. Each processes personal information only as needed to provide its service to us.

  • Vercel hosts the site and keeps the server logs described above.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit) stores the newsletter list and sends the emails. Mailchimp's own privacy policy governs its handling of that data.
  • Google Workspace provides the mailbox where contact form messages arrive.
  • Slack delivers a copy of each contact form message to our team.

These providers operate in the United States. If you are visiting from outside the United States, your information is transferred here when you submit a form.

We will also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Boulder Insight, our clients, or others.

How long we keep it

  • Contact messages stay in our mailbox and Slack for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation, which is normally no longer than three years after our last exchange.
  • Newsletter details stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Mailchimp keeps a record of an unsubscribed address so that we cannot add it back by mistake.
  • Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short, rolling period.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
  • Ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@boulderinsight.com. We will confirm your identity using the email address the request comes from and respond within 30 days.
  • Object or restrict. You can also ask us to stop using your information for a particular purpose.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful basis for the newsletter is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time, and for the contact form it is our legitimate interest in responding to you. If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act gives you similar rights, and you can exercise them the same way. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for targeted advertising.

Children

The site is for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, forms are validated on our servers, and access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, including our demo portal, our product sites, and third-party resources referenced in articles. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email where we can.
